In 1992, former Lufthansa captain Walter Drasl founded ProToura. When, in the early 1990s, flight simulators were not being utilised to full capacity, he recognised the opportunity to make the dreams of aviation enthusiasts a reality – and acquired spare capacity in the simulators from Lufthansa Aviation Training. After just a few events, it was clear: this idea was set to become a success story.
