Who We Are and What Makes Us Unique

ProToura was established in 1992 by Walter Drasl, a retired Lufthansa captain. In the early 1990s, Drasl noticed that flight simulators were not being utilized to their fullest potential and saw an opportunity to fulfill the dreams of aviation enthusiasts. He acquired unused simulator capacity from Lufthansa Aviation Training and, after only a few events, it became evident that this idea had the potential for great success.

ProToura is now established as Europe's foremost event agency and organizer in the field of aviation, with event locations not only in Frankfurt am Main, Essen, Munich, Berlin, and Vienna, but also in Zurich. Our sister company, ProFlight GmbH, has been the European market leader for experience flights in the cockpits of professional flight simulators for private individuals for over two decades. Moreover, our customer list, amongst others, includes several banks and first-class companies such as Deutsche Telekom and BMW as well as tech companies and startups.

Additionally, our subsidiary flugsimulator.com has been catering to a more general audience since 2015, offering simulator experiences at three different locations as of today. Our innovative Flight Kids program allows children to experience the thrill of flying in a fun and educational way, and new additions such as unique 4,5 ton-class Full Motion simulators to our very own fleet and the first working eVTOL simulators are adding new possibilities to the market.
